Zheng Jingxian, was born in 1944 in Hui’an, Fujian. He graduated from Xiamen Academy of Arts and Crafts in 1963 and then further studied in Chinese bird-and-flower painting seminar for national teachers in Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He studied with Li Ruochan, Tian Shiguang, Yuzhizhen, Sun Qifeng, Kang Shiyao, Su Baozhen, Shi Yanling and other teachers.

Present titles:

Vice-President of Xiamen Zhang Xiong Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, Member of Chinese Artists Association, Director of Painting and Calligraphy Institute of Chinese Arts and Crafts Society, Member of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Talents Committee of National Ministry of Personnel, President of Xiamen Institute of Chinese Bird-and-Flower Painting, painter of painting office of CPPCC Fujian, Contractual Editorial Board Member of Chinese Painting of People’s  Art Publishing House 

Exhibitions and Awards:

Participated in exhibitions organized by Ministry of Culture and Chinese Artists Association for many times:  won the highest prize in Contemporary Famous Chinese Bird-And-Flower Painters Art Exhibition,1st Traditional Chinese Painters Academic Invitation Exhibition in China, Beijing International Fans Exhibition, 300 Chinese Painters Exhibition, 2nd National Bird-And-Flower Painting Exhibition, New Times Chinese Painting Exhibition, National Contemporary Bird-And-Flower Painting Art Exhibition, 1st Beijing International Art Biennial Exhibition, won.

International Exhibitions:

His artwork used to be exhibited in  foreign countries and regions  like Japan, Canada, France as well as Chinese embassies.

Influence:

Domestic and foreign newspapers and journals such as Chinese Painting, Fine Arts, Traditional Chinese Painters, People’s Daily, Culture News, Ta Kung Pao, World Journal have special edition reports on Zheng Jingxian and his artwork.
